What does the role involve?
Your task is the computational modelling of complex assemblies under structural loads by using the finite element method. Along with geometrical nonlinearities (e.g. contacts) advanced material descriptions are crucial for the early and precise prediction of the system’s answer to the loading condition. With your analyses, you play an essential role in mastering technical challenges in the development of high-performing and weight-optimal products. At the same time, with your excellent predictions and your deep understanding of the system, you are building the basis to reduce the development time and the testing effort. Besides your direct contribution in the product development of our direct fastening tools and consumables you are involved in the enhancement and validation of our simulation methods. You take responsibility in the development projects as well as in projects to develop new ideas and methods.

What you need is:
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related fields with theoretical background in numerical calculation methods
- Profound professional experience in the application of the finite element method on transient problems with geometrical and physical nonlinearities as well as in the field of fatigue analysis.
- Knowledge in software packages LS-DYNA and/ or ANSYS Workbench; experience with ANSA suite is desirable
- Know-How in model validation using processed experimental data
- High goal-orientation and self-responsible working methods
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience with stakeholder management
- Strong team and communication abilities as well as excellent English skills
