Controller - Market Reach Performance Management
What's the role?
In this role you will act as the Controlling Business Partner for various (decentralized) Strategic Marketing departments. You will work together with different stakeholders (e.g. senior management, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Procurement, Global IT) in a complex matrix organization, as well as being part of global and cross-functional project teams to support Hilti’s largest Market Reach initiatives at the moment: the reshaping of our Customer Relationship Management system & our decentralized Market Reach Competence Centers.

What does the role involve?
As a Controlling Business Partner, you will independently and proactively manage the budget planning & forecasting for various teams within our Global Strategic Marketing department. Part of the day-to-day activities is to manage the controlling & reporting tasks such as cost accounting, allocations & accruals. Additionally, you will manage the investment governance around, for example, MR Competence Centers, Digital Marketing, as well as support contracting & negotiations for major projects with multiple stakeholders (Department head, MR Competence Center heads, Legal, Procurement & Global IT). Moreover, you will act as a true business partner by living, driving and supporting various Performance Management projects with senior management exposure.

The Market Reach Performance Management team is “a team on the rise” with responsibilities around strategic performance management and investment planning & governance within the Global Strategic Marketing department at our Global headquarters. The Global Strategic Marketing department is responsible for transforming Hilti’s digital marketing & sales approach through multiple key strategic initiatives such as a new digital organizational footprint in Paris & Plano/US, shaping the Customer Relationship Management of the future (Project “Evolution”) and the new decentralized set-up of Market Reach Competence Centres around the globe.
Additionally, the Market Reach Performance Management team has a strong link to and collaboration with Group Finance & the Global Finance Leadership Team.
What you need is:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in finance, controlling or business administration
- Experience in similar positions (min. 2-3 years)
- Strong finance/business knowledge with the ability to see “the bigger picture”
- Very strong MS Excel, PowerPoint and presentation skills
- Project management skills and independent working style with “getting things done” mindset
- Outstanding communication skills and business proficiency in English
- Solid SAP R3 or S/4HANA and SAP-BI knowledge is a plus
