What's the role?

Hilti is in the process of rolling out its new digital workplace/intranet globally. The Digital Workplace Lead is the business owner of the platform: driving global employee use and understanding of the new platform, ensuring it is kept up-to-date and relevant to drive value for Hilti, with a strong focus on the user, in particular strong communication and change management. A key part of this is to manage and grow communities, which are at the core of the digital platform.

What does the role involve?

As part of the Corporate Communications team, the Digital Workplace Lead will work closely with global IT and colleagues across the globe to ensure it provides value for Hilti, with a strong focus on training and change management. This is an exciting and challenging role to drive global employee adoption of the new platform, facilitate agreement on global governance processes, gather and prioritize business requirements and ensure smooth implementation of ongoing portal improvement. Many of this is new for Hilti, so the Digital Workplace Lead needs to be an independent self-starter who can maneuver through the organization, ensuring management awareness and support and continually improving the platform. In addition, the person needs to be able to speak the language of IT and communications to work successfully with both teams.

What you need is:

  • Demonstrated experience running and measuring the value of digital platforms
  • Demonstrated experience creating and implementing content and training strategies for digital platforms
  • Demonstrated experience launching and running online communities
  • Technical background to be able to understand the platform and its setup, in particular Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365
  • Strong English language skills; other languages, such as German are useful
