What's the role?

In this challenging and exciting position you work within Hilti’s Global Logistics organization and contribute in developing new logistics solutions and global standards that meet construction project specific business requirements of our customers whilst integrating them into Hilti’s end-to-end supply chain and network.

What does the role involve?

In this position you lead and work in cross-functional project teams to develop, pilot, implement and support the rollout of new global standards and processes in the area of Construction Project Business. You get the chance to collaborate with a wide variety of partner and stakeholder. You are in touch with all logistic areas such as Materials Management, Warehousing, Transport, Services, Reporting & Controlling as well as with IT in order to work on required system developments. You have also touchpoints with other functions like sales, engineering, manufacturing, marketing and finance at a global and regional level ensuring the development of end-to-end business solutions along the construction workflow. For the Project Business you act as business partner and main global logistics contact supporting the Regions in solving issues in the operations management. Also you support LEAN initiatives (Kaizen, VSM) and contribute as an expert to cross-functional improvement projects and strategies to identify new, more efficient solutions with focus on seamless end-to-end processes.

Our integrated worldwide supply chain offers the opportunity to understand the entire end-to-end logistics operation, serving both our global market organizations and last mile operations to our direct customers at their construction sites.
Our Global Logistics center is located in Nendeln Liechtenstein with our state-of-the art fully automated warehouse, in the beautiful and mountainous Rhine Valley. It is in close vicinity to a direct train stop for easy commuting to the Swiss and Austrian borders. Additionally, Hilti e-bikes are readily available for you to use free of charge!

What you need is:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or equal
  • You have experience in managing supply chain and logistics in big construction project environment
  • SAP system and good MS office know-how is beneficial
  • With your strong analytical skills you are capable to analyse and communicate complex topics within a global matrix environment and your interpersonal skills enable you to manage a broad variety of stakeholder on different levels
  • You are open for business travel across the globe (approx. 10% of working time)
  • Your working style is proactive, and you have a “getting-things-done” approach
  • You are fluent in English (skills in any additional language are an asset)
