Head of Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE)
What's the role?
The Head of Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) is part of the management team, will be reporting directly to the Global Head of Quality and be responsible to globally define and manage the development of our SQE organization. In strong collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, you design and implement SQE processes and concepts, take the organizational leadership and contribute to the further success of our business.

What does the role involve?
You will be responsible to globally support the operational units to successfully ramp-up and develop our extensive supplier base with the goal to proactively manage and ensure the highest quality for materials purchased. You will be designing and improving the SQE processes and continuously ensuring a global benchmark (e.g. APQP etc.) by training the respective Quality Manager and SQEs. To ensure success, you also need to be on-site of the most critical suppliers, maintaining strong relations, understanding the production processes, identifying shortcomings and driving measures to improve the supplier quality. This requires you to also work closely with the supply managers (procurement) to jointly manage the suppliers and the improvements. To be successful, team work is essential as well as taking people along to the change process.

What you need is:
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in either supply / procurement, within a SQE position or process consulting role having a strong affinity with designing, implementing and managing the related SQE processes (e.g. APQP etc.).
- Master’s degree in mechanical, material, electrical engineering, ideally from a renown university with outstanding grades.
- Expert knowledge of Supplier Quality Management concepts and in industrial production processes (e.g. metal working, welding, coating, injection molding, chem. processing etc.).
- Strong analytical, communication and systematic problem-solving skills .
- English fluent written and oral
- Willingness to travel both domestic and international (+/-25%)
