Intern – Mechanical Engineer in R&D
What's the role?
Your task is to come up with creative new ideas, investigate new technologies, produce prototypes and challenge the way things are done. This is an interdisciplinary technology task with focus on hands-on mentality and the spirit to think outside the box.
Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration between 6 and 12 months

What does the role involve?
As intern in our department you’ll be part of a development team always looking at better ways to do things. You’ll work closely with our experts on developing new designs for our modular installations systems, investigating new materials and coatings for improving corrosion protection as well helping us to measure the performance of our system vs competitors.
In your key responsibilities, you will significantly contribute to generate vital information leading to new innovations. You will use your hands-on mentality organise for prototypes production and test new ideas within the state of the art labs at Hilti.

What you need is:
- Bachelor’s degree and currently Master student in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- CAD experience (Siemens NX advantageous)
- Willingness and creativity in finding solutions for interdisciplinary technical challenges
- Passion for innovation and product development
- A proactive approach and self-reliant personality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent English skills (German skills advantageous)
