What does the role involve?
As intern in our department, you’ll be part of the Advanced Mechatronics team. You’ll work closely with our internal and external experts to develop simple models to analyse and design the most advanced power tools in Corporate Research and Technology. We will revisit the fundamental assumptions make to design the tools. You will mainly support the project leader and the external expert with Matlab programming. The models need to be put into code, the systems need to be analysed and ideas have to be generated for better ways of designing the tools.
Your key responsibilities will be to come up with creative solutions, design them, build them and test them. There is a top-notch team of experts available to support you every step of the way.
What do we offer?
We’ll give you the tools you need to excel in your internship, including one-to-one coaching. You’ll enjoy a rare combination of autonomy and camaraderie, as you’ll manage your own project while being part of a friendly team.

discussions and career opportunities.
We’ll support you even before you start with us through relocation and integration support. With the international interns community at Hilti you’ll never be bored. Further, the snow-draped mountains, crystal-clear lakes and marvelous landscapes
in the Happy Valley invite for lots of outdoor activities.
Why should you apply?

- Deriving mechanical, electrical, etc. models (basic courses from bachelor’s degree)
- MatLab C-coding basics: plotting, data manipulation, nested loops etc.
- Optional: SIMULINK (if you like)
- Attention to detail, listening and interest to learn from the best about how to design complex systems
- Patient and team player
We take our time to get to know you. As part of your recruitment process, you’ll get to talk to your internship coach as well as your HR Manager who both can answer some of your burning questions.
