Intern or thesis student - Operational Excellence Diamond Inserts Production
What's the role?
As an intern in the diamond inserts production department in headquarter in Schaan, Principality of Liechtenstein, your responsibilities will cover supporting the Lean Management on agile solutions for process optimizations as well as focus on operational excellence topics within the context of industry 4.0. Your tasks will be to collect and assess practical use cases for industry 4.0 applications in the plant and drive proactively the implementation phase in the diamond inserts production.
Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration for at least 6 months.

What does the role involve?
As intern in our department, you’ll be part of a competent and diverse team which operates in the diamond inserts and consumables production. You’ll work closely with our experts in Engineering, Development and Quality Management to improve production processes and take over own projects along the whole value stream.
Your opportunities in headquarter of the Hilti AG will be to get insight in pilot projects for industry 4.0 within global manufacturing. In addition, you will have the chance to enhance and strengthen the communication within the manufacturing plants in Liechtenstein, Mexico, Germany and China by conducting industry 4.0 workshops with people from different countries. You will work closely and interdisciplinary with production specialists and plant management team on strategic projects. Eventually, besides your operational or strategic work, you will have the opportunity to write your master`s thesis with us.

What you need is:
- Field of study: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Management, Quality Management, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
- You should be proactive, motivated and have a strong sense of responsibility
- Strong computer skills including handling of MS Office
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in German and English
- A strategic approach and good problem-solving skills with a strong self-management complete your profile
