Intern or thesis student- Quick Fix Drywall Screw Development
What's the role?
Your task is to investigate the fastening limitations of Hilti and competitor drywall screws. You will test the screws with respect to current and novel fastening technologies. Measures for improvement are to be defined and tested.
Start date is flexible to the student's availability, target start date 1st March, duration: 6 months

What does the role involve?
As intern in our department you’ll be part of development of innovative screw solutions and systems for the construction business. In our global team setup, we constantly strive for innovation to provide the best solutions to our customers. You’ll work closely with our experts to develop the future drywall system.
Your key responsibilities will be to test and evaluate drywall screws with respect to impact readiness and setting performance in combination with an innovative future fastening system in our state of the art testing facilities. You will design tests and carry out the investigation with support from our interdisciplinary team. Based on your results and evaluations you should be able to suggest improvement measures which in turn can be tested.

What you need is:
- Bachelor or Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Good skills in Microsoft Office, CAD skills of advantage
- Strong communication skills, with excellent English and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach, self-reliant personality and enthusiasm to learn
