Intern or thesis student - Technology innovation in fastening on concrete and steel
What's the role?
We’re looking for interns in Hilti`s headquarter in Schaan from engineering backgrounds to join our fastener development team. Your role is to bring innovative ideas in nail fastening on concrete and steel and prove the concepts in prototype phase
Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration for at least 6 months

What does the role involve?
As intern in our department you’ll be part of fastener development team integrated in business unit direct fastening. You’ll work closely with our experts to develop out-of-the-box nail concepts for powder-actuated fastening on concrete and steel.
Your key responsibilities will be the organizational and operational part of the innovation phase for a new nail fastening concept. You’ll come up with different ideas on how the next generation nail could look like. You realize these ideas in prototypes and conduct the testing of the prototypes. The tasks will be handled in an international team and project setup including also the cooperation with Hilti plants.

What you need is:
- Bachelor or Master in mechanical engineering, civil engineering or materials science
- Required skills: Microsoft office, English; CAD beneficial
- Ability to think unconventionally and to understand where detail-orientation is required
- Passion for innovation and product development
- A proactive approach and self-reliant personality
