Intern - Strategic Supply Management
What's the role?
In the BU Direct Fastening we are introducing statistical analysis (Performance pricing, as defined in VDI 2817) as a method to better understand the market and make better decisions in our sourcing choices. On our consumable portfolio you will develop, analyse and transform the results into strategic actions. Working in the strategic supply team of BU Direct Fastening, the candidate will have the opportunity to learn about statistical pricing analysis, our suppliers and strategic sourcing decision making.
The candidate will work and get exposure in a cross-functional environment, including the strategic supply team, plants and outposts across the globe. Additionally, the intern will obtain a great understanding of the supply chain system of a multinational company.
Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration for at least 6 months

What does the role involve?
As a master thesis student or intern in our department you will develop, analyse and transform the findings into strategic actions.
Your key responsibilities will be, for the specific material group or product family, to collect relevant data, understand its cost structure and cost drivers to serve as basis for the statistical model. After a deep analysis phase, it is expected that the candidate will implement the potential business case.

What you need is:
- Bachelor or (preferably) Masters student
- Energy, courage and sharp thinking
- A strategic approach and good problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, with excellent English and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
