Regional IT Infrastructure Unified Communication and Network Specialist
What's the role?
We are looking for a passionate person in charge of the telephone system (Unify OpenScape 4000), video conferencing and the network environment in the headquarters in Schaan, which will also support our strategy for telephony of the future and be an active part of respective change management activities.
Onsite IT in Schaan is responsible for the IT infrastructure for the headquarters in and around Liechtenstein. Usually we are processing first and second Level tickets. This job deals with ticket solving in the telephone and network environment as well as the strategic development and change management in these two areas.
This role includes the technical and scheduling coordination of external companies for our telephone system and our network.
To share our knowledge and skills, we have expert teams from many different disciplines. The network expert team is distributed worldwide to all Hilti sites. This role would also contribute to this network expert team.

What does the role involve?
You are responsible for ensuring that the Unify OpenScape 4000 telecommunication system runs properly, that the necessary updates have been made and that a sustainable strategy for the future of unified communications in and around the headquarters is ensured and implemented. Our telephone system in Schaan is closely linked to the facilities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We also have video conference enabled meeting rooms, hence working closely with colleagues from these countries and teams from Global IT (Digital workplace collaboration team) is very important. In the context of developing strategies for future telephony change management is also an important topic.
The network structure for the entire headquarters is part of the entire Hilti Group network, which requires close cooperation with Global IT in Buchs, Kuala Lumpur MY and Tulsa USA. You are responsible to ensure that tickets affecting the LAN and WLAN network in Liechtenstein and the surrounding area are quickly resolved. In doing so, you use your own skills and those of our external partners.
By translating business needs into a high-performing and future-proof unified communication and network setup, you will be a key enabler for Hilti’s business excellence and digital aspirations. What you need is:
- University degree in IT, Engineering or Science
- Experience with enterprise-level networking, e.g. LAN, WAN, WLAN
- Experience with enterprise telecommunication, e.g. Unify, Cisco
- Experience with tools for root cause analysis
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and team skills
- Excellent change management expertise
