Research Engineer Testing in the Materials Group, Corporate Research & Technology
What's the role?
Applied research as well as advanced testing services in materials is at the core of our Materials Department in Corporate Research and Technology. As testing engineer, you are responsible for all mechanical and tribological testing. You closely collaborate with your colleagues to define test plans & parameters, adapt test rigs, and perform experimental investigations. You analyze, document and communicate the obtained results to our internal customers. You take responsibility for lab and equipment maintenance and you drive continuous improvement in your area of responsibility.

What does the role involve?
As Research Engineer Testing you are part of the materials research group. You will work closely with our material experts, project managers and product developers, and you will support them with your expertise on tribological testing, mechanical behavior of materials and machine elements. A creative, hands-on working mentality, operational diligence and analytical skills are key strengths that make you successful. Effective technical communication as well as the comprehensible documentation of your work is a key factor in your job. We are looking for a self-responsible person who can manage our state-of-the-art labs regarding acquisition, calibration and maintenance of equipment. You strive for continuous improvements of our laboratory methodologies and practices.

Our Headquarters is located in Schaan, in the beautiful and mountainous Rhine Valley. What you need is:
- Technical degree in mechanical engineering, material science or related fields
- Proven hands-on experience in tribology, materials testing and understanding of machine elements
- Diligence in performing, documenting and analyzing application-oriented experiments
- Competent handling of analytical techniques like roughness & hardness measurements and optical microscopy
- Good communication skills and fluent command of English (good command in German is a plus)
