What's the role?

As a passionate engineer you will be responsible in designing and implementing embedded software (SW) solutions for high quality optical measurement devices used in the construction industry. With your knowledge in control engineering you will strongly contribute to the development of the used algorithms and to the overall success of our products.

What does the role involve?

In your day to day life you will design, implement and test drivers for sensors and actuators needed in high precision optical measurement devices in an agile environment together with a global team. With your passion for control systems and your hands-on mentality you will be responsible in integrating the different modules with hardware and hand over functional solutions to the system testing team.

You are strongly contributing to the whole product development life cycle from prototyping to productization. With your strong background in embedded SW engineering and interpersonal skills you will work closely with other disciplines and support in translating the need of stakeholder’s into SW requirements and architecture.

As a senior engineer you will also coach the external partners and less senior colleagues.

What you need is:

  • You hold a master’s degree or above in electrical engineering, control engineering or related field
  • You have broad experience in embedded software development (C, C++, RTOS)
  • You provide excellent overall Electrical Engineering knowledge, e.g. electronics of embedded devices, closed loop motor control, position sensor integration, strong mathematical background
  • Good understanding of modelling tools (e.g. MATLAB, Python,…), signal processing know-how is a plus
  • Previous exposure to continuous integration and Hardware in the loop (HiL) - testing is a plus
  • Ideally you have a proven track record in working in an agile environment with global teams
  • Your working style is pro-active, and you have a “getting-things-done” approach
  • You have strong interpersonal skills to successfully perform in a global matrix environment
  • You are fluent in English
