Software Quality Manager
What's the role?
The SW Quality Manager manages risk and quality for a SW product segment in the context of global Customer Application Software Projects from ideation to deployment and as such is part of the team establishing a new pillar of Hilti innovation and of strategic importance to the long-term company success.
This role interacts with customers, business units, markets, software development and quality assurance partners, support functions, all across the globe, to ensure high quality levels and minimized risks to the company in providing value creating software solutions on a global scale, always in the context of hardware, software and services coming together in creating a unique solution offering for Hilti customers.

What does the role involve?
The SW Quality Manager is responsible for all risk and quality topics within a SW product segment. This includes developing and implementing quality strategies for SW products and actively participating in SW product feature and design with a 0 defects mindset. This role is key in defining and implementing manual and automation test strategies, coaching and managing internal and external quality assurance teams. In addition, it manages overall product risks, coordinates customer complaint handling, drives root cause analysis, problem resolution and implementation of preventive actions.

What you need is:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in quality assurance in an agile and global environment, preferably with an engineering context
- Experience in managing geographically distributed (external) quality assurance and technical teams
- Analytical and structured approach to software design, problem resolution and prevention
- Ability to create and implement testing strategies and methodologies for commercial SW application products
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-up
