What's the role?

Within this crucial role in purchasing, you will significantly extend and contribute to strengthen our business in selling Application software as a product in combination with IoT devices and hardware products bringing connectivity to the jobsite.
These connected software solutions and services are based on core business processes supporting our customers in digitalization and bringing productivity to the jobsite.
Furthermore, you take over responsibility as Supply Manager Strategic to continuously screen the IoT market, market players and trends in order to provide input to the project teams enabling new use cases for our customers. New solutions normally consists out of hardware components, connectivity interfaces, software application and mobile App support.
Your task will consist of supplier evaluation and development, leading supplier contracting and negotiations, setup and maintaining the purchasing system & ERP, evaluate and mitigate BI-risks and to manage material availability and stock management in close collaboration with our materials mgmt. Reporting of achieved results to the management and presentation of logistics concepts will also be part of your profile.
You will contribute to multiple projects as a member of an international and cross-functional development and implementation partner network.
As an expert in sourcing & purchasing with deep experience in an application software environment, you will collaborate within a network of internal and external demand and delivery teams.

What does the role involve?

Havinga very high understanding for time to market processes and how to align variouspartners along the supply chain is crucial for success and delivery results. To ensure the fulfilment of our customer’sneeds, you work very closely with our markets and logistics organization. Additionally,you will be responsible to ensure and coordinate the overall end to end demandand delivery pipeline flow of all materials and to ensure in time delivery forour existing and new customer solutions.

What you need is:

  • University degree / master degree in a technical domain agree or in economics
  • > 5 years of experience in related areas of procurement
  • Experience with international, distributed supply chain partner network and intercultural collaboration
  • Forward-thinking innovator with high motivation to make Hilti successful in the “Internet-of-Things” space
  • Collaborative team player with a hands-on attitude
  • Strong English language skills
