What's the role?

You lead a commodity group on a global level. You understand what our current and future needs are and you match them with the development of the commodity. Together with your stakeholders you define the game plan to find and effectively work with the best suppliers.

What does the role involve?

Your work starts with the strategy of your commodity. It gives you the necessary insights and the fact base. It also aligns the projects and actions that you plan to drive to improve performance and productivity. Large, international Procurement projects are then in your direct responsibility. You drive the preparation and the execution together with global project teams that reside in the regions and corporate functions. There can be bumpy roads as we procure many “emotional” products and services. So, although we are now well established, you need a broad personal portfolio to earn your seat at the table of the executive decision makers.

We spend over one billion Swiss francs a year on indirect materials. Management attention is high and we seek to deliver above expectations.

What you need is:

  • Fluent in German and English
  • Minimum of 5 years of solid professional experience in an international setting
  • Strategic mind-set with result orientation
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation and communication skills
  • University level education with results in upper-quartile
