What does the role involve?

Leads the technical/engineering expertise and ownership for a Structural engineering software, aligning product development with business value, structural engineering standards, our products and customer/market needs. Technical Product Managers collaborate heavily with the anchor/rebar expert community, software development, and product owner resources to provide expertise , lead the process of Hilti data analysis and entry, and own the process of validation within our software – ensuring accurate structural engineering designs within the software products. In order to bring a software package to the market the TPM is responsible for engineering content as well as training the engineering departments at Hilti. The role ultimately serves as the primary subject matter expert in relation to anchor or post-installed rebar systems represented within software products.

Last year alone, we introduced 40 new products, services and software solutions to the global construction market.

What you need is:

  • 5 years’ minimum structural concrete engineering experience required
  • Masters’ degree in structural engineering
  • Deep technical knowledge in relevant domain(s), e.g. reinforced concrete design
  • Experience in structural concrete design
  • Working knowledge of construction industry related to design processes
  • Willingness to travel (max. 20%)
  • Team player with good communication skills (team out of marketing, engineering and software people)
  • Analytical and structural thinking and behavior
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams
