Steel pins are driven with a tool within milliseconds into steel base material to fix gratings, installation equipment or for the use of electrical bonding and grounding. The products and applications are highly specified and the product performance is proven in various approval documents. To actively drive and form this business area for Hilti, new product ideas are constantly generated and need to be technically evaluated.

Corrosion protection is key for all our fastening and installation products. You support the scientific and technical work in our competence area corrosion protection and work in our laboratories. Your tasks are planned and executed together with one of our experts. Besides testing the corrosion protection of the products you evaluate the results using modern metallographic equipment. You support scientific projects in our competence area of tribology in close collaboration with our lead plant for polymer technology. Your knowledge and contribution is used to identify innovative endless fiber reinforced polymer concepts for machine elements ensuring maximum power to weight ratio and long lasting operation in handheld power tools.
You will be working in a cross-functional team to help bring the next generation of battery nailers to life. You will develop and improve a simulation model which will reflect the real tool behavior. Based on the results, you will develop and implement concepts to improve and optimize the power electronics of the tool, and further differentiate our tools from the competition.
