What's the role?

In this position, you will lead the coordination and development of complex electronics in the Internet of Things (IoT) area. You, together with a multidisciplinary, multinational team will decide on the design and selection of components, including test concept discussions and requirements engineering. You are part of a cross-divisional development team and cooperate closely with independent test labs, development / manufacturing partners, and approval bodies to qualify or provide design requirements for our innovative IoT solutions.

In our IoT department we develop innovative Embedded Software Solutions, Mobile Apps and Measurement Technologies - through our technologies in application software we take our customers to the next level of the technological progress.

What does the role involve?

Within a multi-divisional development environment, you are responsible to lead the development of electronics including the collection of relevant technical data, approvals, and design requirements for electronics within our innovative IoT solutions. During early product development phases, you support the project team with generation of the relevant electronic test plans for prototypes based on your functional understanding of the product. You will furthermore be responsible for suggesting a distinct production test concept for the electronics and align it with the Software team and the overall Technical Project Manager. Your assessment of the product performance and design influences the development process significantly. Documentation of all development steps in our different platforms (SAP ECTR, Jira, Confluence, IBM Jazz) to ensure a seamless and efficient project flow is your motivation. You react flexibly on unexpected results and create innovative solutions. You, together with the team, keep track of the project targets with respect to timeline and content.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor or Master in Electrical- and Electronics Engineering or similar fields
  • 6-10 years experience in electronics development and design for serial production
  • 3+ years of professional experience in project coordination in research and development projects is a plus
  • Distinct knowledge in selection of electronic components together with our supply team
  • Distinct knowledge in power efficient embedded electronics design
  • Knowledge about mobile network technologies, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and similar technologies
  • Strong team player and problem solver
  • Experience in planning and implementation of product qualification methods
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of English language and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Knowledge of German is a plus
